From Lotta Jansdotter’s book, this is the simple pinafore dress. My co-worker’s wife is due in January. They live in Florida, so I figure a sundress will work most of the year-round. The dress fabric is from a JoAnn’s in Michigan a few years back (the pocket fabric is Repro Depot).

And here’s another recent baby shower gift I made for a sci-fi loving, journal making, mama-to-be.

This has been under my hat for a while – but I’m glad to share the great news. Some of my artwork will be hanging at American Eagle’s new children stores, 77 kids!

If you live near the following cities:

1) Pittsburgh at The Mall at Robinson on July 15, 2010.
2) Danbury Fair, Danbury, CT
3) Mall of America, Bloomington, MN
4) Cherry Hill Mall, Cherry Hill, NJ
5) Carousel Center, Syracuse, NY
6) Crabtree Valley Mall, Raleigh, NC

You can visit the new 77kids stores to see them yourself.

As I stitched myself, it’s pretty *awesome*

Thanks again to Chele and Rob for this opportunity!

Some pics from The Fine Art of Fun — the art show we just went to hosted by Toy Joy and held at the United States Art Authority. It’s going on until 2am tonight – go check out the mad fun!

Took advantage of the holiday weekend to get back to the sewing machine. Check out my latest sewn piece in The Flashbulb Shop, “orange you lucky birds.”

It’s part of my continuing series titled, “Into the Woodland.”
