Mill Pond – Fall Family Photo Session

Mill Pond – Fall Family Photo Session

This mom requested Fall color for her yearly family photo session. So the hunt was on for the best location … luckily Mill Pond was serving up some yellow and orange tones for us.

Seaholm – Senior Portrait Session

Seaholm – Senior Portrait Session

This lovely McCallum Senior requested a colorful outdoor location for her portrait session. After sending her mom some choices, we decided to meet up in the Seaholm/Butterfly Bridge area.

Exploring different murals, street art and architecture, this comic book artist and future scientist was game for climbing bridges and searching for the best backgrounds.

Central Park – Fall Family Photo Session

Central Park – Fall Family Photo Session

Wondering where to have your family photos this year? If convenience, comfort and central locations are important to you…

The Central Park walking path behind Central Market on North Lamar is a great choice!

  • Centrally-located with plenty of parking
  • Kid-friendly (kids can climb the tree or look for turtles in the pond) and Pet-friendly
  • Variety of backgrounds from the water to the parking garage

Plus if you want to treat your kids to ice cream afterwards, that’s available at the Central Market grocery store next door.

It’s been a recurring location choice for this lovely family. And it gave their new dog another place to explore.

Brushy Creek Community Gardens – Holiday Portrait Session

Brushy Creek Community Gardens – Holiday Portrait Session

Happy Holidays! Now that the Christmas cards have been sent out, it’s safe to share these family photos.

So during the same session where we take Halloween photos, there is a quick outfit change to make sure Christmas is covered as well.

Brushy Creek Community Center has been the site of this family’s holiday photos before. Check out Carsyn and her friend Kate as babies there from way back in 2013.

1. How do you know Stephanie Friedman Photography?

Stephanie has been taking beautiful photos of my daughter and I since she was an infant.

2. What was your favorite part of your photo session?

One of my favorite parts, in addition to the sheer magic Stephanie has in capturing the most incredible moments, is her flexibility. We combine a Halloween and Christmas shoot together, arriving dressed fancy for Christmas photos and then doing a quick change into my daughter Halloween costume. We are all busy, and this year obviously posed increased challenges with Covid-19, so it is super important to me to have this combined session. On that note, Stephanie was exceptionally conscious of health and safety needs – wearing a mask and maintaining distancing during the shoot

3. What advice would you give to other people planning a branding session?

Plan your outfit and the theme of the shoot in advance and Stephanie will help you determine the PERFECT location to serve as the most fitting backdrop. Last year she found a mansion for us to shoot my daughter as a vampire for Halloween that also had a beautiful garden and gazebo for our concurrent Christmas photos.

4. Anything else to add?

I have said it before, and I will say it again. Stephanie not only takes absolutely stunning photos, but she does it with laughter and joy. She makes the entire photo shoot fun (including being a kid whispered) and the results exceed my expectations every single year.

Covid-19 Protocols and Safety Procedures for Family Photo Sessions

Covid-19 Protocols and Safety Procedures for Family Photo Sessions

As the Covid pandemic continues in 2020 and likely into 2021, I wanted to share some of the safety protocols and procedures I’ve implemented during my photo sessions.

Outdoor Sessions

  • Family Photo Sessions will take place outdoors only in locations where we have lots of room to social distance
  • I will be masked 100% of the time
  • Majority of images will be taken from 6 ft. away
  • I carry hand sanitizer in my camera bag
  • No contact payments (will use Venmo or PayPal)

Health Concerns

  • If anyone in your family is feeling ill or experiencing symptoms, there is no penalty for rescheduling
  • Let me know if you’ve had contact with anyone who tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 14 days
  • Please let me know if you have additional concerns and any actions I can take to make you feel safer during your photo session

In the meantime, keep those faces covered and stay safe 🙂
